Portland painter, Shanon Playford, will be opening her studio to the public as an artist in this year’s Portland Open Studios. Known for her “poetic realism,” Playford’s work often incorporates a blend of bold color, unique vision, and intricate detail. This annual, self-guided tour provides a unique opportunity to step inside her creative space and see the environment where her creations come to life.
Visiting Shanon’s studio offers more than just a gallery experience; it’s an intimate look into her artistic process. Guests can observe works in progress, see the materials she uses, and gain a deeper understanding of the inspiration behind her distinctive style(s). And it’s also her home! Expect snacks, drinks, and maybe even some homemade pizza!
